Industry information
The requirements for the application of technology in CNC machine tools.
Requirements for motors:
1. Typically, a variable-frequency drive-specific motor or a standard motor equipped with a fan is necessary to fulfill the cooling requirements of the motor at low frequencies. Moreover, it is essential for the motor to possess a wide speed regulation range.
2. Technical requirements for inverters:
1) High torque at low frequencies:
A vector inverter should be chosen as it can deliver 150% of rated torque at low frequencies (1-10Hz).
2) Rapid dynamic response speed and high steady-state accuracy:
To achieve favorable dynamic response effects, opting for a vector inverter is recommended. This ensures that the output torque promptly responds to load changes, thereby maintaining stable rotor speeds.
3) Swift deceleration and stopping speed:
In general, CNC machines have relatively short acceleration and deceleration times. The performance of the inverter determines the acceleration time while external braking resistors or braking units determine the deceleration time.
